PJ Sparkles
It all started with this doll
PJ Sparkles was produced by Mattel in 1988-1991. They were a series of large dolls with glowing accessories plus animal friends and an animated video. There were lots of other dolls produced around this time which bore a striking resemblance to one another, and are easy to mis-identify at first glance.
Lovin' bunny friends - AKA Sparklins bunnies
"Lovin' bunny friends from the world of PJ Sparkles. Sparklins Bunnies are huggable daytime pals who have some magical nighttime surprises - starry bodies that glow, and eyes that grow sleepy when the lights are turned out. They also wear a glow-in-the-dark necklace that girls can wear as a bracelet. Soft and cuddly, these 12* plush Sparklins Bunnies are the perfect daytime to bedtime companions for little girls and boys. Three bunny colours: pink, yellow, or lavender."
The pink bunny was produced first; and then in 1991, Mattel changed the marketing from Lovin' bunny friends to Sparklins bunnies and added the lilac and yellow bunnies. They were 12 inched high and had satin-like bodies with glow-in-the-dark stars on. They each came with a necklace which read "I Love You", which also glowed in the dark. They didn't have individual names.

Each Sparklin Pet came with a necklace!
They each came with a necklace which read "I Love You", which also glowed in the dark. The necklace would double as a bracelet for the lucky girl who owned the Sparklin bunny!
Sparklins puppy
Only one Sparklins puppy was produced. This plush toy was yellow, and looked very much like the Sparklins bunnies with the exception of the ears. The Sparklins puppy was 12" tall and made of a satiny material with glow in the dark stars. The Sparklin puppy is much harder to find that the Sparklins bunnies.
Sparklins puppy came with an I love you necklace that doubled as a bracelet for the lucky owner!
Sparklins bear
Only one Sparklins bear was produced. It looks very much like the Sparklins lilac bunny with the exception of the ears. Like the Sparklins bunnies and the puppy, the Sparklins bear is 12" tall and made of a satiny material with glow in the dark white stars.
